Heels topped the Langley Farm Team by the slimmest of margins, 7 to 6.
SSB tallied 4 runs in the top of the 4th inning with the help of 3 hits. The
highlight belonged to Russell Branyan who disappointed the partisan crowd
when he doubled plating three runs. Langley made it exciting in the 9th, but
they were unable to push the needed runs across.
Jeremy Guthrie(6-11) was the winner allowing 4 runs in 7 and 1/3 innings.
Guthrie got help from Craig Breslow who was credited with his 1st save. Chad
Gaudin(7-6) took the loss. He was touched for 6 hits and 4 walks in 3 and
2/3 innings.
With this win, SSB has a 37-63 record. They have been 3-7 lately. With the
loss Langley now has a record of 54-46, worst in the division.
